Latvian rugby 'person of the year' 2011 RFC LIVONIA manager and player Jānis Zuments! 09.02.2012

At the Latvian Rugby Federation's annual general meeting on January 28th, Livonia's very own Jānis Zuments was named by The Rugby Development Assocation as the 2011 Rugby Person of the Year.

CHALLENGE RIGA WELCOMES RUGBY PLAYERS 27.01.2012

2011 end-of-year event - Christmas party! 12.12.2011

RFC LIVONIA marked the end of the 2011 season by holding its annual function at Garkalne town hall 'Berģi'. Club supporters and sponsors were recognised and new 'Livonians' were officially welcomed into the club.

A special anniversary game for Latvian rugby will take place this Saturday, 26th November 1.30 pm. at Upesciems stadium, including a cameo appearance by Livonia club president and Latvian rugby veteran Vigo Valdavs! 25.11.2011

Played at Livonia RFC's home ground, this special game is to mark 20 years since Latvia was accepted into the FIRA-Association of European Rugby and the IRB. This match will also be the last game as a player for Latvian rugby legend, 'RAF' rugby club captain, and current Latvian national coach Vladimirs Ņikonovs. Playing in this anniversary game is the first national rugby squad of independent Latvia, which was formed in 1991, and a team of players assembled from local teams.
